DART Hidden Ridge Rail Station Platform
Project Description
This transit-enhancement project delivers the construction of new passenger platform infrastructure and right-of-way improvements along the DART Hidden Ridge corridor. The work supports increased ridership capacity, improved pedestrian connectivity, and long-term operational efficiency for one of the region’s fastest-growing transit nodes. Urban’s scope combined structural platform construction, large-scale flatwork, and site upgrades within an active rail environment—requiring precise coordination, safety controls, and phased execution.
Project Description
– Platform Construction: Delivery of new transit platform structures designed for durability, accessibility, and seamless integration into existing rail operations.
– Right-of-Way Enhancements: Improvements to track-adjacent corridors, pedestrian pathways, access routes, and supporting infrastructure to improve safety and circulation.
– Extensive Flatwork & Site Upgrades: Installation of large-area concrete flatwork, foundations, walkways, and ADA-compliant features to support long-term passenger use.
– Active Rail Coordination: Work performed alongside operating DART services, requiring stringent safety planning, contractor coordination, and minimized service disruption.
This project reflects Urban’s ability to deliver complex transit infrastructure in constrained, operational environments—enhancing mobility, safety, and user experience within a major regional transportation system.
